Direct-to-consumer

What is the meaning of Direct-to-consumer?

Direct-to-consumer ecommerce brands sell their products directly to consumers, cutting out the need for third-party retailers, wholesalers, and other middlemen. As well as the ability to collect and analyse data, the benefit of a DTC business model is that it affords a more seamless customer journey, and greater control over customer relationships. Examples of the most successful direct-to-consumer ecommerce brands include Glossier and Warby Parker.
