Dropshipping

What is the meaning of Dropshipping?

Dropshipping is a retail fulfillment method whereby the ecommerce store does not own the stock or inventory it sells. Instead, the store partners with a third-party manufacturer who will then ship items once they have been purchased by a customer. One of the biggest benefits of dropshipping is that it involves lower overheads, as the business model takes away the burden of stocking merchandise or covering shipping costs. As such, it can be a good way to test the demand for new products before investing on a more long-term basis.
