Trading between the EU and Kenya: what to know.
- EU–Kenya agreement. Kenyan goods enter the EU duty-free; Kenya cuts tariffs on many EU goods over up to 25 years.
- Proof of origin. Needed to claim reduced duty under the agreement.
- Kenyan import charges. EAC tariff by product, plus a 2.5% IDF, a 2% RDL and 16% VAT.
- Product conformity. Regulated products need a KEBS Certificate of Conformity before shipping to Kenya.
